NEWS

  • Biology Simulation

A biology simulation platform that offers interactive 3D models of cellular structures and processes. Users can explore detailed visualizations of cell components and witness biological events such as protein synthesis and DNA replication. The site serves as an educational tool, bridging the gap between traditional learning and modern visualization techniques. Currently the simulation website has received partnerships from 17 international organizations, over 300 users, and 12 contributors. More Information: https://home.bio-sim.us/

  • Hackathons

Our non-profit members actively contribute to the local academic community by organizing and managing various hackathons. We play pivotal roles in shaping these events, from serving as judges to evaluating projects based on innovation, technical proficiency, and presentation skills. Our involvement fosters a collaborative and inspiring environment for aspiring developers and technologists.

  • STEM Outreach

Our team is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders. We organize engaging events that introduce young learners to robotics, coding, and other STEM fields, fostering a love of learning and innovation. We also actively participate in community events, such as Halloween celebrations, to promote STEM education and foster a sense of community.

  • AWS STEM Events

Delivered presentations at AWS North America STEM education events (Toronto, Seattle, Vancouver) demonstrating how high school students can leverage cloud services to solve problems and implement meaningful projects. More Information on the presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_BbnwLzWPo

  • Farm Volunteering

The Local Ecology and Agriculture Fremont (LEAF)’s mission is to educate the community about innovative agriculture. The garden is as a living classroom, where educational experiences can instill a connection to nature, forge ideas across disciplines, and inspire curiosity in our volunteers. LEAF is able to extend our impact beyond the boundaries of the garden by donating the food we grow to local food banks such as Tri-City Volunteers Food Bank and Centro De Servicios. Each year, LEAF donates thousands of pounds of fresh, biocide free produce to families in need. More Information: https://www.fremontleaf.org/

  • Web Development Education

We spearheaded a web development initiative, creating and delivering a curriculum that empowered our schoolmates with the skills to build interactive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. More Information on the school book trading website that we have created: https://basisbooks.us/login.php

DONATE

At STEM Sprout Team, we believe that every child deserves a chance to explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and math. That’s why we create and deliver fun, hands-on, and affordable programs that spark curiosity and inspire learning. Whether it’s building robots, learning web development, participating in hackathons or learning from a Biology Simulation, we help kids discover their potential and develop skills for the future. But we can’t do it alone. We need your support to reach more students, especially those from underrepresented and low-income backgrounds. By making a donation to STEM Sprout Team, you’re not only investing in our programs, but also in our community. As a 501 © (3) organization, your contribution is tax deductible and will make a lasting impact. If you’re interested in helping us in other ways, such as volunteering, partnering, or sponsoring, we’d love to hear from you.
